Delmas to start; Fairley and Pettigrew out

Free safety Louis Delmas will start for the Lions today at the Arizona Cardinals. Delmas, who did not play last Sunday at Green Bay, missed most of practice during the week with his lingering knee injury. He will start alongside Don Carey.

Tight end Brandon Pettigrew (ankle) and defensive tackle Nick Fairley (shoulder) are inactive against the Cardinals.

Sammie Hill will start along side Ndamukong Suh at defensive tackle. It’s the second start this season for Hill who started three games last year.

Will Heller will start at tight end in place of Pettigrew. Shaun Chapas, who was signed from the practice squad on Friday, is active.

Other inactives are: Ricardo Silva, Corey Hilliard, Jason Fox, Ronnell Lewis and Kellen Moore.

The Lions (4-9) are six-point favorites over the Cardinals (4-9) who are coming off 58-0 loss to Seattle last Sunday.
